to Thai
Thai has no sentence punctuation and no spaces between words, so the dangling-sentence check is off and lines wrap between characters. Politeness particles are matched to each speaker.
How it works for Thai
Upload an English .srt or .vtt file, or a season as a zip. Cues travel to the model in batches of 32 so a sentence that spans two cues is translated as one thought. Every Thai cue then passes thirteen structural checks; whatever fails goes back with the exact complaint attached, and an editor pass sweeps the whole file for register and idiom. You download the subtitles and a quality report, and the upload is deleted.
What the Thai profile checks
- Thai ends a sentence with a space or nothing, so the check that a translation finished the sentence the source finished is skipped: on a real file, 0 of 6 cues end in punctuation and none should be flagged.
- No spaces between words, so lines are wrapped between characters rather than handed to a word-wrapper that would treat the whole cue as one unbreakable word.
- Politeness particles (ครับ/ค่ะ) and pronoun choice follow each speaker's relationship, by instruction.
- Sound labels from a table: [เสียงหัวเราะ], [เสียงดนตรี], [เสียงปืน].
- No human reference has been sourced yet, so there is no published baseline.
Sound labels, from the table
Labels for the deaf and hard of hearing are resolved from a fixed Thaitable before the model sees the text, so they are never invented. Three entries, exactly as the table renders them:
- [LAUGHS]
- [เสียงหัวเราะ]
- [DOOR CLOSES]
- [เสียงปิดประตู]
- [PHONE RINGS]
- [เสียงโทรศัพท์ดัง]
Is Thai measured?
No usable human reference has been found for Thai yet, so there is no published baseline. The same thirteen structural checks run on every Thai cue regardless, and the quality report in your download lists what they found.
Price and time
One credit translates about 20,000 characters of dialogue, roughly a 25-minute episode; a feature film is about three. Credits are $1.25 each in packs, the first episode is free, and there is no subscription. An episode takes a few minutes; you get an email when it is ready.
