Ukrainian with two guards against Russian: four letters Russian has and Ukrainian does not are flagged on sight, and a blocklist catches Russian words spelled in letters Ukrainian shares. Labels as nouns: [СМІХ], [ПОСТРІЛ].

How it works for Ukrainian

Upload an English .srt or .vtt file, or a season as a zip. Cues travel to the model in batches of 32 so a sentence that spans two cues is translated as one thought. Every Ukrainian cue then passes thirteen structural checks; whatever fails goes back with the exact complaint attached, and an editor pass sweeps the whole file for register and idiom. You download the subtitles and a quality report, and the upload is deleted.

What the Ukrainian profile checks

  • ы, э, ъ and ё do not exist in Ukrainian. One of them in a cue is Russian, not a typo, and the cue is sent back.
  • Russian words made only of letters Ukrainian also has (что, сейчас, спасибо, хорошо, только...) are invisible to the letter check, so they are blocked by name. Each has a different Ukrainian word; nothing on the list is valid Ukrainian.
  • ти and ви matched to the relationship between speakers; «…» quotes; the model is told never to use Russian words or calques.
  • Sound labels are verbal nouns, as Ukrainian subtitling writes them: [СМІХ], [ЗІТХАННЯ], [ДЗВІНОК ТЕЛЕФОНУ].
  • No human reference has been sourced yet, so there is no published baseline.

Sound labels, from the table

Labels for the deaf and hard of hearing are resolved from a fixed Ukrainiantable before the model sees the text, so they are never invented. Three entries, exactly as the table renders them:

[LAUGHS]
[СМІХ]
[DOOR CLOSES]
[ДВЕРІ ЗАЧИНЯЮТЬСЯ]
[PHONE RINGS]
[ДЗВІНОК ТЕЛЕФОНУ]

Is Ukrainian measured?

No usable human reference has been found for Ukrainian yet, so there is no published baseline. The same thirteen structural checks run on every Ukrainian cue regardless, and the quality report in your download lists what they found.

Price and time

One credit translates about 20,000 characters of dialogue, roughly a 25-minute episode; a feature film is about three. Credits are $1.25 each in packs, the first episode is free, and there is no subscription. An episode takes a few minutes; you get an email when it is ready.
