Translate subtitles
to Romanian
Romanian for a country that subtitles everything: comma-below diacritics (ș, ț) rather than the cedilla forms, tu/dumneavoastră held per speaker, and labels like [UȘA SE ÎNCHIDE] from a table.
How it works for Romanian
Upload an English .srt or .vtt file, or a season as a zip. Cues travel to the model in batches of 32 so a sentence that spans two cues is translated as one thought. Every Romanian cue then passes thirteen structural checks; whatever fails goes back with the exact complaint attached, and an editor pass sweeps the whole file for register and idiom. You download the subtitles and a quality report, and the upload is deleted.
What the Romanian profile checks
- Comma-below diacritics (ș, ț) by instruction. The cedilla forms (ş, ţ) are a legacy encoding artefact that still turns up in files and fonts, and a professional Romanian subtitle does not use them.
- tu and dumneavoastră matched to the relationship between speakers; „…” quotes.
- Same-alphabet guard: Romanian function words are required in the output. Words that are also English (am, are, a) are deliberately left off the list so an English line cannot pass as Romanian.
- Sound labels as short verb phrases: [RÂDE], [OFTEAZĂ], [UȘA SE ÎNCHIDE].
- No human reference has been sourced yet, so there is no published baseline.
Sound labels, from the table
Labels for the deaf and hard of hearing are resolved from a fixed Romaniantable before the model sees the text, so they are never invented. Three entries, exactly as the table renders them:
- [LAUGHS]
- [RÂDE]
- [DOOR CLOSES]
- [UȘA SE ÎNCHIDE]
- [PHONE RINGS]
- [TELEFONUL SUNĂ]
Is Romanian measured?
No usable human reference has been found for Romanian yet, so there is no published baseline. The same thirteen structural checks run on every Romanian cue regardless, and the quality report in your download lists what they found.
Price and time
One credit translates about 20,000 characters of dialogue, roughly a 25-minute episode; a feature film is about three. Credits are $1.25 each in packs, the first episode is free, and there is no subscription. An episode takes a few minutes; you get an email when it is ready.
